Gone but not forgotten Centenary Ringing

On the 11th of November 2018, for the Sunday morning service we rang the bells half-muffled to remember those who had fallen in the war. Four of those who fell in the First World War are commemorated by the plaque in the ringing chamber.

During the service a place was reserved for each person who are named on the memorial plaque inside the church, including these four bellringers. Each place was named and an item was left in their unfilled seat. For the four bellringers we also placed a bell rope to signify their connection to our tower.
