We are very fortunate to have fully qualified Bell ringing instructors, all are members of the Association of Ringing Teachers. We offer a six week "learning the ropes" course, suitable for anyone aged 9+.

What is Bellringing?
The art of bell ringing, also known as campanology, is part of an ancient tradition throughout Britain.
While thoughts of Hunchback of Notre Dame or the Mars Bar advert come to mind to many people, the reality is very different.
We challenge anyone above the age of nine to have a go. The only things you need to be able to do is be able to walk up 13 steps to get into our tower, and lift your arms above your head to pull on a rope.

For those who are curious and are not sure if they want to actually have a go themselves, visitors can come and watch our ringing at anytime. Our bells are light and relatively easy to ring making them good for beginners, but we will not force you to try if you really don't feel you are able.
